Just to let you all know, the music on the blog is a collection of 80's music that my wife loves. Just to let you all know. I would have preferred a wider selection but I gave in to my wife's taste of music.

Sister's Christmas party was a mix with a field trip to the pediatrics floor at the hospital where they caroled and gave each child a gift and a card they had made. it was so sweet to see those 12 kids walking from room to room so excited to sing and give, i was truly touched. her teacher and i could not help but cry, it was so moving and hard to find that we each knew some of the families there. i know in these troubled times, it can be hard to find things to be thankful for, but that certainly gave me a thing or two to say thanks for.

pics from the girl's dance recital. this year they did a Harry Connick Christmas. Sissy danced to Frosty the Snowman and Sister danced to The Happy Elf.
they had such a good time working on these dances and did so awesome. they were darling and we are just so proud of them. we are also so happy that it is now Christmas vacation and we can relax for a little while. Sister's costume came from oriental trading and after her class tried them on, the mothers had to do so much fancy patch work because the felt was so thin that we were praying so hard that they would last for just this one recital. by the time it was over, most of the girls were in shabs. but they looked great and everyone was telling us that they were adorable, so it all worked out in the end.

Labels: isn't she lovely, isn't she wonderful.
this is what we found in the kids' swing set while we were taking it down. now this would be the very swing set that they played in all summer. lucky that no one was attacked. this is also only one picture, the more we banged the leg on the ground, the more the bees came out. we were also lucky that it was too cold for them to sting us, they could barely move when we sprayed them with the raid. some one better call peta, i am sure they have a special department for the mistreatment of insects and other creepy-crawlies.

Hope. The absolute need of.- A continuation
Though we are in a vicious cycle we all need to maintain hope. Hope for a better future. Hope for a better tomorrow. Hope is a foundation, and without maintaining hope we lose much more than we can ever compenstate for. Without hope you can not have faith, charity, or even love. For hope encompasses these. Why would you need faith if hope does not exsist? What could you have faith in without hope? Nothing. For faith without hope is dead. This is the same for charity and love. For it takes hope to have charity and love, just as it does for faith.
In life one can not forgo hope. When one does forgo hope despair and chaos become their beacons.

Finally, maybe, justice for a supportor of Prop 8?
Check this out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H_ZvPR09N4Q. Poor woman. She is over 60 years old and was brave enough to standup for her beliefs, and to be treated so badly. Is this a hate crime against agism and religionism? You decide.

this is the new day that will live in infamy. it really is a disgrace to have elected a man that hates America to be the one to lead us. i was praying for a miracle, now i am praying for our country. i cannot put into words how sick and dissapointed i feel. i hope with the state we are currently in that we can survive the next four years. try to sleep well everyone, we only have a couple more months of true leadership. and to all you dumbo-crats and obama-bots, you will have to open your eyes eventually.
i spoke with someone on the blog i have been venting to lately, and they pointed out that obama has it made, he can fail devistatingly and blame it on P Bush with no fear of reprocussion, but any victories he may have, i don't believe he will have any, he can claim and with no thanks to anyone. lets hope this is not the case. i am in such a state of shock i don't know how to respond to this, the idea of socialism is terrifying. we need to be stronger than we have ever been before. really, may God bless America, and have mercy on our souls.

Mamma bear went to the ISJ blog and was able to shut some Obama-bots up over her very compelling ideals. In fact, one Obama supporter finally came out and showed his true colors, that of an uninformed person, and stated that he is only voting for Obama because he is black. Mamma bear is not fooled.

this is amber. i just wanted to express my disgust in our nation's youth. our family had a very nice family home evening last week when we carved our pumpkins. the girls also had a couple small ones that they colored themselves. we went out tonight and had all of our trick-or-treat fun, but on the way home, i decided to take Sister out to knock on a few doors. Papa let us out a couple of streets away from our home so we could treat a few houses on the way, the other two were asleep. anyway, as we approached our house, i noticed something all over the side walk, so, knowing what it was, i tried to lead Sister across the street to one more house and walk our way around the mess, but, alas, she saw it too. it was heart breaking to watch my daughter cry and get upset with the wind (she thought the wind blew the pumpkins so hard that they all broke). i took her to a couple more houses to get it off her mind, then took her in to go to bed. after she went to sleep, i went back out to see just how bad the damage was. bad. they broke two of our scarecrows, all of the pumpkins the kids got from their field trip to the pumpkin patch, threw the corn all over, and just what ever else their naughty little minds could think of.
i never did that kind of stuff growing up, and i thought i had missed out on a right of passage all kids go through. now that i am a mother, i am so glad to say that i never did that to any other little children, children who undoubtably worked hard on their pumpkins only to have some looser destroy it for their own sick pleasure. our friends just down the street stopped to help when they saw me out there cleaning up the mess and said there were several houses on the way that had been attacked as well. i just want to say, keep people in mind when you get bored and think some mindless vandalism will liven things up. there could be a little one that is going to be heart broken with the results.

Boo at the Zoo
These are pictures from Boo at the Zoo. We are missing one of Amber due to some mix ups. We lost each other and all of the pictures with her were taken by Gregg and Mary R. Yeah, we went to Boise this weekenf for Boo at the Zoo. The girls had a great time. The Boise Zoo just opened their newest exhibit Africa Safari. We also spent time with Dawn and Mike R and the girls enjoyed seeing some of their friends.

polotics are pretty important right now. i just read that obama's favorite book is the autobiography of malcolm x. now i have a serious concern that obama is planning some mass destruction of America. to me, it seems that he is saying outrageous things because he knows the people that are going to vote for him are dumb enough to turn a blind eye. he is speaking to his voters, telling them everything they need to hear to know they should not vote for him, and they hear nothing, they are blinded by all of the celebrity light flashing all around him. he is talking to deaf ears, spitting in America's face and laughing at us all the live long day.
i hope this makes everyone happy that i posted this in my own blog.

Labels: brother shows us some things that taste good and some that don't.
i just thought i would say, (this is in reference to the deal with her shooting the gun) 'bravo Sarah Palin, we need someone to protect us just in case obama wins. better make sure you are all up on your food storage and have a gun yourself just to be prepared, i seriously worry that there will be another attack if he wins. honestly, the enemy knows he wont do anything, why else do would they be campaigning so hard for him, and he is so unpatriotic, he doesn't see it coming. i just hope we are not so blind to all possibilities of an obama rule.
this is a nervous amber by the way.

friday, i went gleaning for the first time with my father. i really enjoyed it, it was hard and dirty, but we had a good time. my father goes every year, he grew up and graduated with the owner of the farm, and he gets enough potatoes to last all winter and through much of the spring. now most of you don't know my dad, but if you did, you would know that that is a lot of potatoes. he loves potatoes; mashed, boiled, fried, baked, seasoned... must be where i got such a love of them from, i think he has them at least 5 nights a week.
i took Carley, and she had a great time. she was all over the place looking for the funny looking ones to take for show-and-tell, and boy did she find some. i really think it was a good experience for her to really get down and dirty, and we did, to see the tractor and diggers go, and to really get some real work under that four year old belt. she also got to ride in the back of the pick-up while we went to the next spot, and giggled the whole way. so cute.
anyway, while we were out there, i noticed we were the only ones, so i asked my dad, 'don't a lot of people come do this,' to which he replied, 'they used to'. he then went on to say that most people just beg a box off the workers, he used some language colorful to the effect of lazy sun-of-a-guns, the farmers need to make a living too. anyhow, this got me thinking, here we are, with all the free potatoes we could ever want right in the palm of our hands, and there were millions of them, more than we could ever take home, or even try, and yet we were the only ones out there. now i know what you are thinking, it is friday, people work, but my dad and his buddies all said the same thing, not many people do this anymore.
here are potatoes as big as my foot to as small as my baby's fist, reds, russets, Burbank's, golden, the works, free to anyone who wants them, plenty to go around and as much as anyone could want, and yet we were it. i was astonished and disappointed, it was not bad work, it was more dirty than anything, but it only took a couple of hours to get all the potatoes we wanted. i even got plenty to share.
the point i am trying to make is this; we live in some troubled times, people are crunched by the gas and mortgages, and just basic living expenses, and here is a way to save a few dollars, and it is totally free. farmers everywhere are quite generous when it comes to this, because it is not economical for them to go back, and what they leave behind just goes to waste. there are so many that are left behind, you could get enough to share with friends and family, maybe start a booth in the farmers market and give some to the sweet widow down the street. what i am saying is i am tired of all of the belly aching, and crying for the dumbo-crats to fix our problems for us, like they are the ones that told us to get in over our heads with cars and houses and whatever else. it is time that we get off our lazy-loungers and start working for ourselves again. take care of our families in a way that would make our ancestors proud. now is not the time to cry that it may ruin our manicures, that goes for you women, too, we have to get back to our roots and do whatever we have to to get through this. we are Americans, for the most part, and i have no doubt we will get through this, but until then, we have to keep plugging along. and when something this easy comes along, don't sit around and say, 'potatoes aren't expensive and i don't want dirt under my nails,' get out, take your kids, teach them a thing or two about real work, and service. Carley is so proud that she has potatoes to share with people, and she gets to say she harvested them. she really loves that, and your kids will too.
at the end of the day, we had to leave behind hundreds of great potatoes that would have made some tasty baked potatoes for someone, and it was really upsetting. don't mistake my words, i know this will not solve all our problems, but every little bit will help, and maybe an honest days work could even spark something in our country again.
By the way, they are really good. everyone we have given some to loves them as well, now don't you all wish you lived closer. this is amber by the way, for anyone who did catch that.

this is Amber, i am not signed up yet, so i have to use Que's name. anyway.
oh my lands!!! as if i couldn't love and respect Sarah Palin more!! she was stellar!! she hit every nail right on the head, except when she hit joe biden on the thumb. ouch, that smarts. i do think it would be nice if she addresses the six pack of root beer drinkers as well as the six packers, but she did just great.
i can't remember who said it, i think Chris, but the addressing the president by his name alone has been a real sore spot for me as well. it shows just how disrespectful and arrogant the obama ticket is and i am truly disgusted. joe was doing it tonight, and i find that appalling. i personally love our President, he has had to make a lot of really tough decisions that have made him quite unpopular, but he did what was best for the love of this great country. i certainly don't agree with everything, but i give him the respect he does deserve and more importantly, he has earned. any president in his term would have ended unfavorable, in large part due to the 9/11 attacks. now had we had a president that sat there with his tail between his legs, like crybaby kitty mouse-gore or i don't know, how did i answer that question last time-kerry, things would have gotten a lot worse, and we would have ended up in war anyway, they just would not have made the call. the people would have had to demand it after the 2 or 3 attack. President Bush made the call that put us in charge of the war. and with any war, things would have gone out of control here and there, because of how unpredictable it is, but we have some amazing troops that have really taken care of us, they know what to do, and i am proud and grateful for everyone of those brave men and women that have put their lives on the line. and as for the ones who have not returned alive, i hope we never forget their sacrifice and bravery on behalf of a divided country. half that is grateful, and half that i would love to send to iraq and afganastan to see for themselves just what the situation truly is. if it weren't for our troops, those pompous belly-achers wouldn't be able to disagree with the leaders of our country. no one likes war, but it is what has given us our freedoms, and that is why the song says, ' where at least i know i'm free, and i wont forget the men who died, who gave that right to me.' now it is time for our nation to find a way to come together and proudly stand up, together, and defend her still today. no one deserves to get away with 9/11, and we need to show that. it is time to be proud to be Americans again.
see, this is why i have tuned out the politics, i just get so heated and stressed out. i can't bare the thought of obama winning, and i would have a hard time calling him president, which is what i just, hypocritically, criticized him for.

hello, just getting some chores done before bed, and thought i would write while Papa takes care of our daughter who has a habit of falling asleep mid-poop. don't feel too bad for him, Brother has been throwing up and having diarreah all day.
so, in other words, things are good here. i am learning how to use the blog stuff. fun fun. Mission pics look great, looks like you two are having a fabulous time. Sissy thinks you are coming home on Sat, and she told her Sunbeam friends you all are. Sister is so grown up these days. She thinks she is loosing all of her front teeth because some of her friends are, so she was telling me about how much pain she was in. I told her to be careful and not to eat anything hard, to which she replied, 'um, mom, I can handle it.' then two days ago, papa was getting frusterated and said something to the effect of 'freaking something' and Sister, in her dismay, told him 'daddy, i am going to start saying that', with all her grown-up attitude.
Brother Bear is still so cute and sweet, and just so happy. He even happily walked up to Sissy one day, while she was minding her own business, and smacked her right in the head, so very cute like, and walked off. to be fair, she does deserve it, she is always taking his toys and running away from him, making him cry and chase her. She had it coming.
hope you all are doing great.
Kevin and Ivanna, how is the new baby? can't wait to see him.
